Ski The Tasman – The Kiwi Classic

An 8-hour private ski day trip. This incredible day combines breath-taking views of the Southern Alps and the Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park, with a once-in-a-lifetime experience of skiing on the famous Tasman Glacier, New Zealand’s longest glacier. Our trips are open for Skiers and Boarders, and side adventures include visits to the ice caves, seracs and other natural ice features, during the ski down. The ski runs are wide and long (8-10kms per run), similar to blue runs and perfect for a family adventure and introduction to backcountry skiing.

Queenstown Charter Heli-Ski Package

If you are an intermediate or higher skier/boarder, the South Island’s heli-ski options are some of the greatest on offer in the Southern Hemisphere, for your skill level. Surrounded by the stunning Southern Alps, our ski packages will take you to open bowls and steep chutes. Anticipation will get you fizzing and the smile after your day will stay for a lifetime.

All packages include:

• Friendly, experienced, and professional guides.

• Full safety briefing given before departure.

• Safety equipment and, of course, a delicious gourmet lunch.

• Pick-up and return of rental skis/boards (if departing from our base).

• Return transfers from Queenstown accommodation to helipads.

Picnic Amongst the Peaks

A 4-hour private experience including 2 glacier landings.

A spectacular way for your guests to see and discover the Southern Alps.
The flight path will take them right around Aoraki and over the West Coast, with views of the Tasman, Fox, and Franz Josef Glaciers. On one of the landings, our pilot will set up a delicious picnic on the snow, including bubbles, with plenty of time for your guests to relax and enjoy the serenity of the surroundings.

Tasman Glacier Snow Shoeing & Ice Bar Picnic

Meet your personal guide at Aoraki Mt Cook National Park Airport, receive your briefing and required equipment before heading to your ski plane. Take a breath-taking flight up to the very top of the Tasman Glacier. Here, guests will be fitted with snowshoes and securely attached by their individual harnesses and lines, before heading away to explore the stunning seracs and snow formations. This is truly a unique trip that gives a taste of back-country exploration like never before.

Head back towards your ski plane pick-up point where guests, with their guide, will build an ice bar and picnic area and enjoy a platter, hot chocolate, or complimentary mulled wine. Take in the serenity of the amazing Tasman Glacier and then watch as your ski plane flies into its snowy runway to collect you. This is a 6-hour private experience.

The Lindis Luxury Overnight Accommodation & Mt Cook Heli Experience

Near the bottom of the habitable world is the new luxury lodge, The Lindis. Nestled almost imperceptibly on the valley floor, with an elegant slatted roof mimicking the contours of the earth below, there is an undeniable harmony between structure and land. The Ultimate Mt Cook Private Guided Experience

Ski plane scenic, with 2 glacier landings (Horace Walker/Franz Josef and Tasman Glacier) and a flight path right around Aoraki Mt Cook, providing West Coast views of the Fox, Franz Josef, and Tasman Glaciers. Second landing on the Tasman Glacier, where you will spend a few hours exploring the icefall with snowshoes and your guide.

The helicopter will pick you up and take you down to the lower area of the Tasman Glacier, known as White Ice, with your guide to explore the ice caves and tunnels. This experience is approximately 2-4 hours, with a picnic lunch and bubbles. You can try ice climbing too!

The helicopter will then pick you up and take you to Plateau Hut (sitting right below Aoraki Mt Cook on the plateau glacier) for mulled wine, cheese and crackers, etc, with your guide. You will stay here until sunset, and then we will pick you up and fly you back via helicopter.

Tasman Glacier Heli Hike & Picnic

A 6-hour private experience. This trip will provide your guests with a privately guided exploration of the lower part of the Tasman Glacier, visiting the ice caves and tunnels. This experience is via helicopter and includes required equipment and gear, such as crampons. The crampons will be fitted to guest’s boots which will allow them to walk on and through the amazing ice formations.

Open to all fitness levels, the trip is personalised for your guests by your private guide. From here we will fly them on a stunning scenic flight, to a mountain top where they can enjoy a delightful picnic and some refreshments, whilst taking in the magnificent views of Aoraki/Mt.Cook and the Southern Alps.
