Mount Cook Airport is located within New Zealand’s Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park at the end of State Highway 80, only 15 kilometres south of the country’s highest mountain, the mighty Aoraki/Mt Cook. Glentanner Airport is near to us, which has caused confusion. Keep driving to the Mt. Cook Village, about 15 minutes beyond Glentanner and you will find us.

Check-in closes 45 minutes prior to your departure, so please allow time to travel to our base at Aoraki/Mt Cook Airport.

  • If you’re travelling from Twizel, allow 1 hour.
  • If you’re travelling from Tekapo, allow 1.5 hours.
  • If you’re travelling from Queenstown or Wanaka, allow 3.5 hours.
